Hello-
We are a small leading-edge General Contractor centralized in Las Vegas, NV and are looking to grow and searching for a talented Ruby on Rails or PHP developer to develop a workflow system around a high-efficient, QC-centric VPR (Vacant Property Registration) process to help us streamline our work and allow us to be more efficient.
We are looking for a dedicated, well-rounded programmer that has experience developing workflow systems similar to this in the past. You will be expected to employ TDD and use good design practices in the front and back end. Use of HAML/SASS/CoffeeScript is encouraged to increase readability.
Your job functions will include
• Researching to learn about the VPR industry beyond our explanations
• Regular communication with point of contact
• Development of the software frontend and backend
Qualities and experience desired from applicants are
• 4+ years of frontend development; encouraged to use HAML/SASS/CoffeeScript for readability
• 4+ years of backend development. Good use of OOP principles and technologies such as SQL, PDF API’s, Ruby on Rails/PHP
• Understanding of software lifecycles and Agile development

We are a General Contractor located in Las Vegas, Nevada that’s a sister company to a successful home builder. We are involved in foreclosure rehabilitations and preservation and well as 203(k) loan renovations and insurance claim estimates and work. We have over 30 years of experience in construction in the Las Vegas and Salt Lake, UT areas, are well-capitalized, and in a position to grow. We are looking to expand our services to other western states (Arizona, California) in the near-future as a well-regarded Fannie Mae/HUD producer.
Required skills:
4+ Years with RubyOnRails, PHP, mySQL
Experience designing a workflow-based system
Desired skills:
We encourage the use of front-end tools such as HAML, SASS, CoffeeScript and good design practices (meaning clear code and those practices promoting extensibility, modularity, etc)
