coding everything from new architectural components to bug fixing. You’ll be helping deliver new features to our customers as well as internal tools to support the team. You’ll as likely be writing new enhancements to our API as updating the code for the API portal.
We expect you to already be programming with Ruby on Rails whether it’s freelance, for your current employer or even if it’s something you do on your own time out of hours. You’ll need to hit the ground running and so we’re looking for someone who knows their stuff.
We also expect you to be somewhat of a webgeek. You read blogs, know what RSS is and are actively involved in online communities. You’ve been online for as long as you remember and used twitter before anyone else you know did. You’ve written your own gem, and have given up trying to explain to your mates that GIT isn’t an insult.
Required skills:
Ruby on Rails experience
Desired skills:
A bit of JavaScript guru-ness wouldn’t hurt. Nor would knowing you way around a server. Experience with Amazon’s AWS APIs would be handy too.
