Sleepy Giant Entertainment, Inc, a studio works with video game publishers and developers by providing technology, platform, infrastructure & operations support to the growing interactive gaming market. Required skills:

If you can:

- Work with management to solve issues and make wise decisions on how to build an application that truly meets the end-user’s needs;
- Pick up new technologies at the light of speed;
- Understand where the limit and leave it behind you;
- Give help when you can and ask for help when you need.

Desired skills:

If you have:

- BS in Engineering or Computer Science
- At least 2 years of Ruby/ Ruby on Rails experience
- At least 4-5 years with MySQL and MS SQL Server
- Ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize tasks and implement action plans
- Experience installing, compiling, and troubleshooting on Linux systems
- Extensive knowledge in Transact-SQL (MSSQL) and MySQL
- Ability to diagnose and solve application / database performance issues
- Knowledge building secure web applications.

If you also have (preferred but not required):
- Experience in Online Gaming Industry
- Experience with Amazon web services
- Experience with git
- Startup experience
