Summary
The senior web developer is responsible for helping to translate the market requirements and product architecture into an implementation. They will work as part of a small team that has responsibility for design and layout of the website, design and creation of Ruby on Rails models, views and controllers, creating load balancing and queuing layers for high traffic and database optimization for quick response times.

Responsibilities
Understand the market objectives and requirements.
Understand the product architecture.
Create the models, controllers, helpers and views for each resource.
Write and maintain the content for the controllers.
Create and maintain functional tests for the controllers and actions.
Awareness and analysis of open source plugins and gems.
Contribution of new open source projects.
Technical blogging.
Technical presentations to the community.

Required skills:

Qualifications
8+ years of programming and web development.
2+ years with Ruby on Rails.
BS Computer science or equivalent
Ajax through Prototype and/or jQuery.
Rails testing and test driven development.
Experience with Agile methods.
Expertise in web site formats such as HTML, CSS, JS, MySql.
