data maintenance – using the Rails console run various data maintenance routines – these will tend to be ad hoc in nature. The person would be working with someone on my staff to understand and review the necessary data changes. Their skills come into play forcing data changes using the rails console on a live system.
light development – examining the various things that are needed in terms of the rails console data changes ( we call these things “operations log”), creating scripts for these, and adding them to a supervisor accessible menu on the existing application.
manage the git repository – this supports the application
Required skills:
2 -3 weeks full time, spend time with the team, learn how things are setup, draw on the brain of the remaining developer.
after that 1-2 days per week….fixing what we call “operations log related” issues
Less than 1 day a week might/could be possible
After initial period – remote work is very possible
