If you are a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer or Ruby on Rails Software Architect and have a strong background creating data intensive highly scalable web 2.0 applications, please read on. We are looking for a senior engineer who has a diverse technical background with hands on architecture background in Ruby on Rails, Java, and or PHP. We are a fully funded start up company, already profitable, that is creating a next generation social networking platform in a Ruby on Rails environment with a knowledge based recommendation engine.

Required skills:

What you need for this position:

• BS in Computer Science or a related field
• Ruby on Rails product architecture and development experience
• Experience in building communities
• 5+ years of Java and or PHP server side architecture and development experience
• Experience creating high traffic sites and memcached, load balancing, and distributed applications.
• Strong Unix, Linux, and MySql experience
• Full life cycle product ownership from gather requirements through product release

• You will be teaming up with the founders and create the next generation product features and execute on a shared vision
• Be hands on technical contributor to our server product features
• Create highly scalable, data intensive, and robust web 2.0 products
• Interact directly with customers and end business user to ensure great architecture and implementation results.
